Water saturation of coal samples during long-term impregnation

Abstract The paper investigates applicability of two mathematical models developed by the authors for calculating process long-term impregnation coal samples. A distinctive feature studied samples is low porosity. Considered are based on single- and three-channel representation internal structure a porous medium. These were previously used to study highly materials. At same time, model in most cases showed much better agreement with experimental data. This revealed some features these associated approximation data obtained consist presence rather small (in cases) errors processing points means single-channel model. refinements multi-channel cause only slight error decrease. results suggest that channel distributions along radial direction investigated narrow have pronounced peaks close average values.
